MAFAP is a non-profit organization that has existed for over 20 years. During those years, programs have been designed, developed and implemented to train foster/adoptive parents and keep them up to date on current issues of foster care and help them provide quality care for the children we foster.

We have an active Foster Allegation Support Team (FAST) with trained, seasoned foster parents to be there for foster parents who might be experiencing allegations of abuse or neglect - whether it be founded or unfounded - to listen and encourage.

We do trainings through out the state of Maine (which is a great distance from top to bottom!) bringing together foster and adoptive parents for support and education. We are a diverse group of individuals with one goal in mind...the welfare of the children in our care.
